We are blessed to be here in our second season at Grace Gardens!
The majestic flowers of the Crab Apple tree.
Our vegetable beds in early April. We experimented with different types of winter soil cover. Carrots and lettuce were just sewed here on the far left.
We planted an arborvitae hedge row along the west side of the property
Ground view of our kale that lasted through the winter.
"Princess Alexandria of Kent"
The hornbeam hedge in the front is coming along. Planted last spring it is officially one year into it's life here at Grace Gardens.

A generous friend and I are in the process of building our greenhouse...we'll keep you updated!

Happy planting, we'll see you in the Garden!
We have been having a wonderful first summer here, and we thank you for being a part of making our dream a reality.

A peaceful July morning
While not as abundant as we had hoped, our beets were tasty.
Gathering some wild bee balm to transplant in our gardens. We also found wild St John's Wart and Blue Vervain on the side of the road around town.
Our cherry tomatoes did well. We had over 6 volunteer tomato plants grow out of our compost pile!
There is always time to help a turtle cross the road.
A timeless image of the summer season.
Our favorite statue located at the Wichita Botanica.
Thank you everyone for your generosity, faith and patience during our first season, we look forward to next year!
Bountiful First Harvest!
Despite last week's big storm that left at least 6 inches of rain in one night, this week we have been blessed with a great harvest and excited and eager customers
Baby Arugula is a green with a robust spicy flavor. $5 for a 1/2 lb bag
Baby Kale is great eaten raw in smoothies and salads or sauteed with other greens like spinach and arugula (we offer our saute mix with all three greens for $5 for a 1/2 lb bag)
A friend we found in the garden. This is one of the many reasons why we choose to grow with natural methods and without any pesticides or other chemicals.
Our Spring Mix aka Lettuce mix is a very popular!
Farm Stand Coming Soon!
Greetings from The Shire!
We have been busy building the farm infrastructure and getting all the pieces in place for the season. We are working hard to get our farm stand up and running to provide a convenient place to stop and pickup some produce from the farm.

Welcome to The Shire!
Welcome to The Shire!
It has been a busy month here moving into the new house and getting the garden established, we want to share with you some updates.
Here you can see that half of the backyard was dug up do to some septic work. While the baron dirt isn't pleasing to the eye, it's a great challenge to see our vison for the property despite it's current state.
This is our 50' x 47' garden plot. We put a tarp on the left side to help fight weeds since we wont be planting all those beds just yet. We are slowly but surely getting all of the compost from these piles to where they need to be.
A closeup of the garden. Rows one and two have just been seeded with spinach and lettuce!
Break time with Fritzy
Microgreen production is going strong! If you want to sign up for a weekly bag, click on "Orders" above. Once the garden starts producing, we'll be offering more of a selection with our weekly orders.
Thank you for coming to our website. We'll be providing updates to the progress of our farm here.
